Orbitsound T6 iPod Docking System

Now this is one iPod docking system that definitely takes the retro tube route – the Orbitsound T6. Supposedly offering a fuller, warmer sound compared to regular speakers via a ‘single point stereo’ sound system, this set features triode valve amplifiers in order to create a balanced sound field throughout the room. The Wikis have it that tubes used for amplifying the power of sound signals is much purer than DSP processing found in many of the current speaker systems, although the latter is what keeps the industry going these days. All in all, the Orbitsound T6 can be placed anywhere in the room without suffering from a drop in audio quality thanks to the technology used within. Available this June at a yet undisclosed price, the Orbitsound T6 will come with a 3.5 stereo input in the back and video output.
