Panasonic has launched their Strada CN-HX1000D and CN-HW1000D in-car navigation systems for the Japan market, and both of them are basically the same units save for the different sizes. What makes this in-car unit different from all the rest is the ability to control segments of your home from the car itself. Take for example, the ability to turn off the lights, control air conditioning and even recording your favorite TV programs long before you have arrived home, all from the touch sensitive screen. This is made possible by a partnership with Softbank, DoCoMo and Au with a Bluetooth-enabled handset. Other features include :-
- GPS navigation
- DVD/TV/CD/MP3/RADIO player
- Built-in hard drive
- 7″ touch screen LCD display @ 800 x 480
Don’t think this will ever arrive Stateside though.
