Planex PL-35STU-500

Planex’s new PL-35STU-500 external hard drive is special as it is pre-loaded with special software that enables it to download YouTube videos directly. This is just wrong on so many levels – granted, there are tons of copyrighted material on YouTube that is used without consent of the original artists, but to rip them off directly? That’s just as bad, and while there will be some people who use this feature the right way, I’m sure those who go down the Dark Side of the Force will be way more numerous. The Planex PL-35STU-500 will retail for approximately $191 in Japan. Would you get this if it was readily available outside of Japan?
