Seagate is about to take their maiden plunge into the world of external DVR storage by unveiling its Showcase line of hard drives. The Showcase line will start from 250GB of storage space and will go all the way to a whopping 1TB. It is compatible with both eSATA and USB connections, and is able to record an unbelievable 12 high definition streams – simultaneously! At press time, only Motorola cable boxes will play nice with the Showcase, so folks hanging on to their TiVos will have to wait until further updates are made. The Showcase line of hard drives from Seagate will be released to the masses this fall. Pricing details are yet to be disclosed.
