With the HD DVD dust left behind, Sharp has decided to go all out in its support of Blu-ray by rolling out a trio of Blu-ray Digital Video Recorders (DVRs) this July. We have the BD-HDW30, BD-HDW25 and the BD-HDW22 that hold 1TB, 500GB and 250GB of storage space, respectively. Regardless of the model you choose, they will all record video in MPEG-4 AVC/H.264, with three different bit rates (4.8, 8 and 12Mbps). Take note that AVCREC is not supported, so you can forget about recording high definition content onto regular DVDs.
