Desktop toys are a welcome distraction at work, and the WowWee Chatterbot would make a good candidate for your next purchase. Available in Devil/Angel, Dog, and the Fairy Godfather models, the $49.99 Chatterbot are USB-powered animated computer accessories which are able to tell jokes, dialog (no idea up to what level) with you as well as comment on whatever you’re typing on the computer at the moment. It functions well with email, calendar and instant messaging applications among others, boasting a tiny speaker too. Apparently the trigger responsiveness is not up to par at the moment, so hopefully WowWee will be able to roll out an update in the near future.
