At least for those who purchased their 3G iPhone from Germany, that is. Word has it that no longer will the consumer need to be shackled down by being locked into visiting just T-Mobile stores, as a deal has already been inked, allowing Gravis to sell T-Mobile service plans and the 3G iPhone, of course. Is this a good or a bad thing? I suppose being able to get the iPhone in more stores other than just T-Mobile retail outlets would enhance 3G iPhone sales somewhat due to the convenience factor. There is no official confirmation from Apple and T-Mobile concerning this matter though.
