Aerovironment Architectural Wind

Aerovironment has come up with a new series of tiny yet silent turbines that will seamlessly integrate themselves into the parapets of buildings, using the principle of aerodynamics to catch wind as the structure’s side captures the fast bearing wind upwards. This results in up to a 30% increase in energy production, while installation is a snap thanks to the adaptable, modular assembly method. There will be little or no structural impact on existing buildings with this new system, and can be easily scaled from 6KW upwards. Each module measures 4′ x 4′ and tips the scales at nearly 200 pounds, boasting a bird screen as well. It would definitely save windy cities a hefty chunk of the power bill each month, this.
