
It would be nice to see technology from this air-powered go-kart being transferred over to the fuel guzzlers we drive every day. This environmentally-friendly project was developed by mechanical engineering students from Canada’s Dalhousie University, using air (which is still free the last time I checked) that compares rather favorably when stacked up against electric-powered karts. Three rounds at a full speed of 43kmh was possible in test laps, but that took up all 2 minutes and an equal amount of tanks, so more work must be done if it were to be used as a long distance solution.
