AMD and NVDIA to make Graphics Cards Compatible with DreamColor Display, Says HP

[HP – Berlin 2008] We previously published about the HP DreamColor monitor. It had the particularity of offering a 30-bit color rendering (1 Billion colors) which is better than the 24 bits (16.7 million colors) that today’s display offer. However, the DreamColor does it at one quarter of the price, when compared to similar solutions. The interesting part is that we learned from HP that both AMD and NVIDIA are imminently launching graphics cards compatible with their display.

At the show, the image from the DreamColor did more attractive, but to be honest, it was a controlled demo, and we did not have time to verify the monitors calibration, so you should really wait for independent tests. Also, extremely colorful images are rarely helpful to test image quality. Which cakes look more tasty to you?
