Are video games just for those who can see? Apparently not, as MIT’s Gambit Game Lab is currently working on AudiOdyssey, a title on the Nintendo Wii that will target the visually impaired. Needless to say, this is an audio-based title where you play according to sound, mimicking a DJ who is trying to conjure a catchy beat to keep the crowd moving. The whole idea is to use the Wiimote, moving it around to get a decent rhythm going then adding on more layers for an aural crescendo. Since the Wii isn’t exactly too common yet, this game is also compatible with a regular keyboard.
