
Those who are planning to pick up a Chrysler next year will be able to benefit from the optional UConnect Web service that brings 3G connectivity in the car itself, propogated by WiFi. This will enable compatible smartphones and notebooks to stay connected, as long as the car remains within the cellular network’s coverage area. Good thing this isn’t platform specific, so go nuts and start counting just how much money you have to make a new vehicle purchase next year. Details on pricing and the carrier have yet to be finalized though, and it is likely that an annual subscription rate might apply compared to a monthly fee.
