Electric S-Class Coming

It is confirmed that Mercedes Benz will be rolling out a fully electric S-Class in 2010, and I’m pretty sure that this model will feature all the safety and luxurious features of the gas/diesel powered versions, but will it perform just as well? Hopefully so, since electric cars aren’t well known for their speed (the Tesla roadster notwithstanding). The same year will also see an electric Smart release for those with smaller budgets. You’ll need to fork out a higher initial amount though, but the long run operational costs should make up for it, not to mention a cleaner environment you can leave for your kids.
