An image of the Helio store in the upmarket Cherry Creek shopping district of Denver, CO has put up a “Closed” sign, which clearly confirms the news that MVNO Helio is planning to wind up after a long, hard battle in this dog-eat-dog business world. There is a faint glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel though as merger talks are happening between parent firm SK Telecom and Virgin Mobile USA. Should that fail, Helio subscribers will probably be migrated over to the Virgin Mobile network. Hopefully all this depressing news won’t have a negative impact on the release of Helio’s Ocean 2.
