Homecast has rolled out a brand new GPS navigation system, but unfortunately this looks set to be a Korea-only device. Features of the HM960 include :-
- 4.3″ TFT LCD display in 16:9 format
- T-DMB receiver
- AVI, MPG, ASF, WMV, OGM, DAT, MKV file format support
- DivX 3.11/4/5, XviD, MPEG4, WMV7/8/9, H.264
- MPEG 1/2/2.5 Layer 3, WMA(Ver.9), Ogg Vorbis, AC3 files
When placed in the car cradle that holds the GPS receiver as well, you will be able to take advantage of getting to your destination using the most efficient route possible, courtesy of pre-loaded Mappy GPS navigation software. Depending on your budget, the 8GB and 16GB models will retail for $378 and $406, respectively. I like the fact that this can be removed when you park your vehicle, using it as a portable media player instead. Neat!
