Only in Japan will you be able to find an interactive mobile participation TV show that allows the many hundreds of thousands of mobile users to represent themselves on-screen as a real-time custom 3D avatar. Unfortunately, the system will only be able to animate up to 100,000 concurrent identities, so there will be a fair number who will be left out each time. This interactive TV show will last for an hour and is known as “Hoshi-ichi owarairyoku test” that will appear on air late night of June 14th with Japanese celebrity Kendo Kobayashi at the helm. Is there anything the cell phone CANNOT do these days?
