Rumors have it that the new range of FW, Z, SR, and BZ Sony VAIO notebook PCs will arrive this summer, all based on Intel’s new Montevina platform. Among the improvements include larger screen sizes (16.4″ and 13.1″), up to 4GB RAM in selected models, a 320GB hard drive, and even a Blu-ray drive. Since there are four different ranges to choose from, obviously the pricing range will be large, so it would be best to know what you want at this point in time, reference it with the current Vaio range to get a ballpark figure and work out your savings plan from there.
