Just when you thought that there won’t be any new versions of the PS2, along comes Sony and their plan to roll out a red PS2 this July 3rd. What a way to celebrate Independence Day, by picking up a last-gen console and disappointing the kids who were expecting a PlayStation – albeit with a slightly higher digit in the suffix. The red PS2 will retail for $153 which is practically spare change for most folks, while the metallic blue PSP will also be making its way to the Land of the Rising Sun for $227 in a Value Pack while the premium bundle featuring a 1-Seg tuner, a 1GB Memory Stick and a color-matched carrying case will set you back by $284.
