Samsung has rolled out the SCH-W480 in Korea, dubbed the “Inner Zoom” phone which takes on the form factor of a digital camera, with cell phone functions taking a backseat. Inside you will find a 5 megapixel CCD camera module complete with a 3x optical inner zoom lens and a 4x digital zoom lens, boasting support for auto-focus and face detection functions. Other features ain’t too shabby either (they’re pretty high end, actually) :-
- 7.2Mbps HSDPA connectivity
- WCDMA/GSM global roaming
- MP3 playback
- Bluetooth connectivity
- 8GB of external memory
The Samsung Inner Zoom will retail for approximately $580 after conversion.
