Talk about a green Ferris Wheel – Santa Monica has a spanking new Ferris wheel that features more than 160,000 LEDs adorning it, and best of all is they light up without relying on our local power grids for power as there are solar panels all over the place to keep it juiced. The LED array is connected to an imaging controller, making it a snap to show a variety of visual treats – I wonder who will be the first bloke who will decide to propose to his girlfriend in front of it by relying on the LEDs to the job for him?
