
Sony’s new camcorder, the HDR-CX12 will hit Japanese retail stores this July 20th, featuring the following :-
- Exmor CMOS sensor
- 8GB memory stick
- Full HD recording at 1,920 x 1,080i resolution in AVCHD (MPEG4 AVC/H.264, 16Mbps) format
- HDV support (1,440 x 1,080i) in 5/7/9Mbps
- HDMI output
- Smile shutter feature
- Face detection
There is no information on pricing, but you can cram in nearly two hours’ worth of HD recording onto a 16GB memory card.
