T-Mobile has offered two new handsets that will take advantage of its HotSpot@Home Wi-Fi calling service – the Nokia 6301 candybar phone and the Samsung t339 clamshell. Both of them are able to form a bridge between the cellular network and a Wi-Fi hotspot, helping users save phone minutes by calling from a Wi-Fi network only to hand over the call to the GSM phone network automatically. This will see you maintain your normal voice plan with the advantage of not suffering the drop-outs which are often associated with cellphones indoors. You can pick up either from T-Mobile retail stores, but pricing details remain to be confirmed.
