AUO Working on 10-inch Netbook Panel

Guess we will be seeing more and more netbooks coming in 10″ sizes from next year onwards to coincide with AUO’s plans to roll out 10″ panels sometime in Q3 this year. It is interesting to note that 8.9″ panels are perfect (currently) for Internet browsing, phasing out the lower resolution 7″ displays. The 10″ displays won’t usurp the 8.9″ models as fast as they did to the 7″ screens though since the resolution remains the same, and a 1″ difference isn’t much when up close. AUO currently has orders from Acer, Dell, HP and Asustek, so expect them to roll out new netbook models with this spanking new screen in the near future.
