NES games are phat as they have enough staying power to hang around for many a decade, and it is no wonder that plenty of emulators for it have been created to date. One of the more recent ones would be FireNES, a Firefox plugin that allows you to play a whole gamut of NES titles (up to a hundred or so of them to date which has been converted to accommodate this plugin) right on your browser. I’mnot too sure about the framerate, but it ought to be decent enough for you to complete a run of Super Mario Bros.
