Amazon’s new Video on Demand service could soon see it work together with HDTVs, and there are already plans being drawn up by Sony to integrate this service in their future line of Bravia LCD HDTVs. Currently, Amazon’s service is made available via Sony’s $300 Bravia Internet Video link, but it is hoped that upcoming models will feature this capability within, working just fine out-of-the-box. Of course, this would mean adding to the cost of the TV by a hundred or so, but it could also be cheaper in the future as the manufacturing process gets more streamlined and efficient. Would such levels of integration make you pick a Sony Bravia in the future?
