HTC ROM Update Does GSM 850MHz Now

HTC has just rolled out a new ROM update that allows the HTC Touch Diamond to achieve quad-band GSM smartphone status, adding in GSM 850MHz into the mix. This makes the Touch Diamond useable in virtually all GSM areas around the globe. The ROM v1.93.831.1 WWE also removes bugs such as the no signal issue, non-responsive navigator controller in camera mode and the well documented SMS sound alert notification delay issue. HTC also claims that this ROM update will increase overall device performance with better audio quality with audio booster enabled, improved TouchFLO 3D tab switching and faster web page loading times.
