
Most of us think that LCD monitors and displays are pretty fragile, but LG takes the road less traveled with the 19″ L1942PP and 17″ L1742PP that features a hardness rating of 7H – that’s a whole lot more compared to your regular LCD monitor that has a hardness rating of just 2H. How tough is 7H anyways, you ask? Well, LG dropped a 1.2lb steel ball onto the tempered glass during testing, and the LCD monitor emerged with nary a scratch, passing that test with flying colors. Prices start from £135 upwards, and this would make a pretty good addition to schools and cybercafes where younger people are more prone to venting their anger by punching things…
