Slovak designer Matúš Procháczka dreams of a magnet-powered car by drafting out the MAG concept. Of course, this would mean our present road system will be rendered irrelevant, as all roads must be turned into giant magnets. Apparently, the magnetic force between the road and the magnets located within the vehicle could help reduce the car’s weight by up to 50%. While this is pretty interesting and all, I don’t really see a future for this since it would be practically impossible to implement around the world, but a small city-state might consider such a move in view of rising oil prices.
