Microsoft and Netflix Teams Up

Microsoft has come together with Netflix to offer the “Watch Instantly” feature to the Xbox 360 console later this fall, which could possibly deal a major blow to Apple TV. With this introduction (coupled with the recent Xbox 360 price drop), it might actually move the Xbox 360 from ‘want’ to the ‘need’ category. This partnership will see the number of movie offerings double on Xbox Live, giving them access to more than 10,000 Watch Instantly movie titles. Interestingly enough, NBC television shows will also make an appearance on Xbox Live, dealing yet another blow to Apple since NBC pulled out its shows from iTunes last year.
