Packard Bell isn’t exactly a name to remember when it comes to power-packed computers, but the advent of the ipower X2.0 could change such thinking. This customizable gaming desktop is more than able to compete with other gaming rigs in the market, both in terms of performance and looks. You will be able to choose from Intel Core 2 Quad or Core 2 Extreme processors, NVIDIA or ATI GPUs, throw in a Blu-ray drive for high definition entertainment, have a TV Tuner, and enjoy 7.1 audio. Cooling options are aplenty, ranging from traditional fan-based ones to water cooled models for a near-silent system. Packard Bell intends to release the ipower X2.0 sometime from Q4 2008 onwards, and depending on the configuration, you are expected to fork out between $1,563 and $2,816.
