Samsung’s foray into dual SIM handsets isn’t exactly the success story of the 21st century, but that doesn’t mean the Korean phone manufacturer is giving up. Samsung has just announced that it has another dual SIM phone hitting China – the D988, also known as the D980 DuoS for the rest of the world. Some of the specifications are :-
- GSM Triband (900/1800/1900MHz), GPRS/EDGE connectivity
- Dual SIM GSM card slots
- 2.6? 240×320px QVGA 262k color display
- 5 megapixel camera with autofocus and flash
- microSD memory card slot
- Bluetooth 2.0 and USB connectivity
No idea on when it will arrive outside of China nor how much will it cost, but without 3G support, this handset looks set to reside in the mid-range market.
