We believe that the Samsung i740 is a low-budget smartphone. Of course, we’re excited about the Samsung OMNIA (i900), there is also a need to recognize that there are people who would like a PDA-phone that’s less expensive but still capable of handling push-email and GPS functions, two functionalities that arguably do not “require” 3G speeds or massive screen resolution. Also, because it’s designed for the casual user and not the corporate worker, there is no QWERTY keyboard. The presence of FM radio is interesting, however. More specifications in the full post.
