SimpleTech [re]drive

The SimpleTech [re]drive is confident enough to call itself the “World’s Most Eco Friendly External Drive,” thanks to the external bamboo and aluminum casing that holds a low power hard drive within, complete with an Energy Star power adapter and a conspicuously missing fan (since the aluminum functions as a heat sink). There is no confirmation as to whether the claims are official or not by some independent body, but you would be hard pressed to find another external hard drive like this in the market. Features include 500GB of storage space and Turbo USB 2.0 connection (maxing out at 480Mbps). The re[drive] will retail for $160, while those who opt for Fabrik’s Ultimate Backup can choose between 2GB of online storage for free or unlimited storage/transfer for $5 monthly.
