The Spoon Scale from Pro-idee will definitely be a boon for those who spend plenty of time in the kitchen, as it lets the cook know just the right amount of salt or sugar to put in a particular dish. I guess this is more for beginners instead of seasoned (no pun intended) kitchen hands, since old hats prefer to use their instinct instead. Retailing for $35 a pop, the Spoon Scale will measure ingredients in grams, although it does ounces as well, anywhere from 0.0005 to 10.5 ounces. The Spoon Scale’s spoon is made from ABS plastic, although the handle uses stainless steel for that added touch of class.
