Technician Terry Childs, 43, who was dropped from his job due to poor performance and insubordination decided to wreak havoc by creating a master password to lock everyone else out of the city’s FiberWAN network. This very system stores e-mails, prison records, and payroll files, and there is the danger that Terry has shared his code with a third party, hence jeopardizing whatever information in there. Strangely enough, the city has enough faith to employ him despite past convictions for robbery and burglary dating back to the 1980s, while continuing to pay Childs his $127,000 annual salary. Childs is currently facing up to 7 years in jail at the time of arrest, and he has kept mum on the password at press time.
