
The always brilliant folks at MIT are currently working on a $12 computer that will be definitely be in demand by the developing world. It won’t use any powerful Intel chips, relying instead on an old, decrepit Apple II as its base. No idea on just what this computer is capable of, but if it fits the bill by catering to word processors, a simple spreadsheet and has the ability to surf the Internet, I’m sold. What can $12 get you these days, anyways?
