
The Exilim EX-Z300 and EX-Z250 camera have the updated Exilim 3.0 software that includes functionalities like night-time image stabilization or “make-up”, which is basic photo retouching (makes everyone look “beautiful” (blurred?). It recognizes faces and applies a smoothing (blur) and color-correction to make the image look better. It might work, or people might look like Milla Jovovich in Ultra-Violet, I don’t know.
It’s worth taking a look and it shows where consumer cameras are headed: let’s face it, with a limited lens size, the image quality won’t get much better, but devices can get smarter. More info on Tech-On
