To date, at least three HP Mini Note owners have reported that their diminutive netbooks have given up the ghost during the course of normal wear and tear, returning to the great big HP repair center for further diagnosis. All three suffered from the same symptoms before they died – a screen that goes completely dark to signify the end of things. The power LED might remain on when powered, but the display still stays as a visual representation of a black hole. Could this be a motherboard power failure? Have you run into such troubles, or know anyone else in the same boat?
