Dell has just lifted the curtain on its Vostro A860 and A840 notebooks, although these won’t be available in the US market. The former will come with a 15.6″ display with High Definition resolution, presumably making this a portable entertainment powerhouse, so make sure you’re always nearby a power outlet. As for the smaller A850, it will feature a regular 14.1″ WXGA display. Both machines will come with the following specifications :-
- Choice of Celeron to Intel Core 2 Duo processors
- 120GB/160GB hard drive
- 1GB RAM
- Wi-Fi connectivity
- DVD burnder
- Bluetooth connectivity
Interestingly enough, you don’t have to remain tied down to Windows Vista with either model since they work fine on Ubuntu as well.
