Who knew that a hidden camera in a teddy bear’s eye could actually catch a thief in action? That happened when Robert Sampson and his daughter, Emma, viewed a video recording of the hidden camera that showed footage of Emma’s mother’s care assistant involved in two instances of theft that involved missing money from Mrs. Sampson’s purse. The care assistant has since been arrested and convicted of the theft, thanks to a £55 camera from a local DIY store. Well, the next time somebody passes you a cute teddy bear, you had best be careful to make sure there are no electronics inside that could catch you in compromising situations.
