HP enters the ultralight business notebook market by introducing the 12.1″ 2230s series that tips the scales at just 4.07 pounds. While that isn’t the lightest notebook in the market, it does pack a pretty formidable feature set including a choice of Intel Centrino 2 processors, Intel’s GMA 4500MHD integrated graphics chipset, 3GB of memory, a 320GB hard drive, 802.11n wireless connectivity, a trio of USB ports, a HDMI port, and a DVD+/-RW optical drive. Prices start from $999 upwards, depending on the configuration that suits your needs and budget.
