Indilinx Barefoot SSD A Speed Demon

It would seem that SSDs have to potential to go even faster, with Indilinx currently taking the lead of fastest SSD in the market (where read speed is concerned, of course) by hitting 230Mb/s while supporting capacities of up to 512GB thanks to multi-level cell NAND flash. Needless to say, any SSD that size will cost you a really handsome amount, so if you want the most cost effective method for portable data storage, the hard drive’s still the way to go. Indilinx won’t be rolling out their speedy SSD until Q4 this year, but that’s no excuse for not saving up for one from now onwards.
