
Intel has lifted the curtains on its Classmate 3 netbook that targets the educational market, featuring a convertible hinge that enables the netbook to function as a tablet when required. It will be shipped to OEMs by 2009, and will feature the following specifications :-
- Intel Atom 1.6GHz processor
- Wi-Fi connectivity
- Touch screen display with pen and finger input
- Palm recognition
- Built-in accelerometer
- Windows XP Home
- 4-cell battery
It should retail for a ballpark figure of $400 when available.
