One good thing about concepts is the ability for designers to go wild without having to care about the practical aspects of building such a device/vehicle. KDDI, a major phone carrier in Japan, has come up with a range of musical instrument concepts in a collaboration with Yamaha, fusing together cell phones and music instruments. They are all creatively named, ranging from “Band in my Pocket” to “Trio in your Hand” and “Keys to Touch”. I’ll stick on MP3s on my phone please, thank you very much . After all, I’m tone deaf so it would be a disaster for everyone around me if I ever got hold of one of these conceptual devices.
