The confirmed kill switch on the iPhone 3G can now be disabled, as long as you have a jailbroken iPhone along with an updated BossPrefs application found on Cydia. All you need to do is push the button labeled “Disable Apple App Killswitch” in BossPrefs and you’re good to go. Now, remember that Apple has that kill switch in place for purposes that only they know, and while it might look rather nefarious and all to us, could it be there for some sort of good? I’m not too sure, but if you’re the paranoid type then taking this route would be better for everyone.
