Logitech launches the Squeezebox Boom, a new addition to its networked music players. Like previous version, it can stream music over WIFI or Ethernet from various sources like a personal computer, a media server or the internet (Rhapsody, Pandora, Slacker, Sirius…). It has a beefier amplifier and speakers than the Squeezebox classic and its display adjusts itself to the ambient lighting, so that you can use it as a (powerful) alarm. It’s display won’t wake you up. It’s compatible with PC and Mac computers costs $299 (MSRP) – ships in September 2008.
