Orange Admits To Throttling iPhone 3G Speeds

Don’t you just hate it when you pay your hard earned cash to a company, expecting that they will render the best level of service possible to you, only to find out that the company has underserved you instead? Orange has recently admitted to artificially throttling the iPhone 3G’s speeds in France for customers, claiming that this decision was made in order for the network to be stable. In that case, can customers “throttle” our payments so that our monthly financial obligations can be stable, too? Just to let you know, iPhone 3G download speeds rarely hit 400Kbps, while those in Germany are touching 1.8Mbps on average. Good thing Orange has owned up to the error of their ways, and will increase 3G data speeds to 1Mbps come this September 15th.
