Pedal-powered Monorail Concept

With fuel costs going nowhere but up for a long time already, it makes perfect sense as people scramble for greener solutions. Unfortunately, public transport systems aren’t exactly very green yet at this point in time, but a pedal-powered monorail concept could soon change things. Imagine propelling yourself forward on a monorail track using nothing but pedal power – there are, of course, many questions that are raised. What happens if the carriage in front of me pedals much slower? What if I have freeloaders in my carriage that are too lazy to pedal in a united manner, instead preferring to take a break that lasts the entire journey?
