Rear View TV Mirrors

I don’t know about you, but rear view TV mirrors sound like an extremely bad idea to me. After all, we can’t have drivers concentrating on the latest episode of House while they’re heading down the freeway at breakneck speed, can we? No idea why devices like these still get manufactured, and some of them even come with touch screen capability and Bluetooth integration for you to carry out hands-free conversations. At least that helps improve one aspect of driving while talking on a phone, but it would be better if you concentrated on the road 100% without any side distractions. What kind of rear view mirror do you think is the most effective? The traditional, no-frills version or the one with plenty of other technological niceties thrown in?
