T-Mobile has cast envious looks at Apple’s App Store, and is hoping to come up with something similar in the neear future. Apparently, industry sources have revealed that T-Mobile is working on a platform for developers to make their applications available to T-Mobile customers, giving owners of Java, Windows and Sidekick handsets a greater array of tools to choose from. This is not yet official, but the chances are likely there. I would say this will be a moderate success by virtue of the market size, but it definitely won’t generate the hype that Apple’s App Store has achieved.
